Solid or hydraulic lifters?

I am assuming hydraulic.

The lifters take a while to bleed off the air trapped inside of them and it really needs to be run to accomplish a complete purging of the air.

Sounds like your doing everything right by pre lubing the oil system.

Make absolutely sure you have the lifters adjusted properly then fire her up.
