Anyone who says it's easy to build a streetable 327 with 425 hp in a Corvette hasn't built too many motors. Not only is it not feasible, it's just silly. A good high-rise, dual-plane intake such as a Edelbrock RPM or Weiand Stealth alone is worth 40 hp and you can't get one to fit under the stock 'vette hood. So, if you have to use a low-rise intake, you'll have to go bigger on the inches. I'd be on the lookout for a stock bore 400 block.
Disassemble the 327, oil everything and wrap it in plastic, then squirrel all of it away for a later sale to someone who wants the gennie mill with the car.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
