Never used one but thought I would give you a bump to the top of the page so one of the folks who know more about the subject can see this. What I have heard though is that as long as you stay in that 75-100 hp shot or so you really don't have much to worry about as far as harming your motor. It is critical that you have enough fuel going in to support it, and as for brands it used to be that Nitros Oxide Systems (NOS) was the only game in town, but now there are so many more out there that you have to decide what one works best for you.

You also have to be careful about carrying a loaded bottle around with you in some States. I have heard stories of people getting fines and even the car impounded for having one on the street. No personal experience though, only what I hear.
