Hi This question has probably been answered already but here goes I just bought an 83 camaro it has a 74 350 truck motor high rise intake and 4 barrel carb cam has been changed but I believe the crank is stock. It started fine yesterday drove it home about 70 miles this morning the starter grinds like crazy and won't turn the motor. I'm guessing that it is not engageing far enough into the flywheel. any ideas on why this would happen just after driving it once. The guy I got it from says he's never had starter problems with the car. yes it has headers could heat cause this?
