No rush to change your trans fluid like yesterday, dex/merc is basically "compatible" with dex2, but do have it looked at by a trans pro if it is not behaving - they will probably want to change your fluid and filter though

Regarding heads, why not get the Fast Burn heads that are on the ZZ383 motor since you are already running the same cam?
