Blower install on a small block 350

I am installing a Hampton 671 Blower on my SBC 350 casting number 3970010.
Looking for some input. The Block is .060 4 Bolt Main looking for some feed back regarding the .060 and is there any special head gaskets that I should run?
Next is Gear Drive my engine currently has a gear drive. I think I already know this answer but here goes. Gear Drive keep it or ditch it?

What's the static compression ratio? What's the dynamic compression ratio?
What's the squish? What's the piston deck height? What's the final static compression ratio based on blower boost?

If you don't the answers to these questions, then you need to put the blower on the shelf and do some in-depth reading.

    And ditch the gear drive.

I've herd good and bad about the gear drives.
Most complaints are they are just too noisy.
I hear guys complaining about the harmonics
getting messed up in the engine.
To this I say HUH!!! Ok what ever.
Most guys that get the quite one's seem to be
    happy with them. Kurt

Back in my days with an unblown gas hydro,We ran a tall deck Arias head Chevy. Rich Thomas did all of our machine work and he told us timing chain was the only way to go as the slop would actually retard the timing a bit helping out on the top end. Fact or fiction,I don't know but we held the liquid 1/4 mile world record for a long time.

Rich knew his stuff; he built me two very good street big blocks for a great price.

I knew that would get you guys going.
Like most things you either love them or hate them.
Now can someone explain how the harmonic's come in to play.
This way we all know what is meant about it. Thanks Kurt

i have way to many times i make it very short steel on steel gear will trans harmonics the dual idler is not good for harmonics strait cut gears are not good for harmonics and there is things going on with the crank as well with that gear drive with the dual idler.that is not good. it will send every thing thru your valve train .but i do not know any thing so if you must use them it is ok with me my engines run just fine with out them and it is going to stay that way

    Thanks for your time Pat.
I've always run dual timming chains too.
I just like hearing both sides, don't take it wrong.
    Thanks Kurt

A gear drive on a street motor is like a BIG LOUD muffler and a wing on a Honda.

Yeah that's pretty funny. However I got gears and I'm going to run them 'till either they break or something else does. That way I'll have hard knowledge that they are NFG or FG one way or the other. haha

I also have 'quiet' mufflers, no chrome cans in fact you can't even see the ends of the 3 inch pipes and no plans for a wing, stickers or graphics.
