A gear drive on a street motor is like a BIG LOUD muffler and a wing on a Honda.

Yeah that's pretty funny. However I got gears and I'm going to run them 'till either they break or something else does. That way I'll have hard knowledge that they are NFG or FG one way or the other. haha

I also have 'quiet' mufflers, no chrome cans in fact you can't even see the ends of the 3 inch pipes and no plans for a wing, stickers or graphics.

A few downsides not mechanical related....

one, everyone with a blower a pro charger and a turbo is going to want to race and beat you.

two, its like a calling card for the law, they hear that whine and think,he has been speeding, racing, driving like a wild man,so they hassel you.

Everyone is going to ask if you have a blower/charger/turbo and you will have to say no and watch them walk away or look disappointed, which makes you feel not so good.

You will be constantly exsplaining what that sound is to people who ride with you, those who dont know will ask how much power that gives you and the answer is none, the people who know about engines will snicker when you tell them.

After 5 to 10 thousand miles all the above will get old ,including the whine.

I will put it this way,it`s like going bass fishing with 12lb test line and wanting to relax and have fun,but all you keep getting is sharks that break your line and you cant catch reel them in.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
