Lookin good. I like the Proform air filter and the accesory bracket. Is the waterneck going to cause the upper hose to foul on the temperature sending unit?

Yup will do. I have learned so much doing my first hp chebbie motor. I found out the truth about how you can't trust machine shops, or quality OE parts vendors,( not saying who but their initials start with Comp Cams and Crane). I found out how important is is to ask questions, and take advice. AND TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIZM, with a grin. Not everyone will like what you are doing, and some will tell you a better way to do everything. I learned Vortec heads ARE better choices than the 462's I have sank a wad into, but not as good as the Patriots I should have got. I should have 383'd it while I had it at that point where I could have done it. BUT.. its done, its mine and its gonna be a great test bed for more horsepressure down the road. Thanks for everyones input. 350 +.040 @10.3-1. 462 heads @ 61cc's, ported and gasket matched, 2.02 valves, unshrouded, 1.6 rollers, 7/16" studs and guideplates.Girdles. Speedpro hyp. pistons and arp rods. Comp cams 280H., double roller. Edelbrock Tarantula Intake, and Holley 750spdf, msd/ billet dizzy and Hooker super Comps 1 5/8" w/3" collectors. Bless this site. Oh ya and its in a 97 S-10 to maximize hp to wt."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
