    New Kid

Just thought I'd say hi, where are most of you based out of? I am from BC Canada.

Hey, can anyone tell me what octane gas I need to run by giving you my cranking compression? It is 200psi and I am currently using AV gas 100 octane.

    Thanks

    Hey techinspector1
Thanks for that info and link. I really don't want to retard my cam timing althogh I have considered retarding the ignition timing. We have 94 octane readily available at the pumps here, so I am wondering if 94 and maybe 33 degrees total would be user friendly for my motor. I am currently running 35 degrees total with 100 octane. When I have tried 94, I get engine run on.

Water injection?? What is that supposed ot do? And no, I really haven't heard about water injection. I don't know if I would want to try yet another equation to my madness. I also run a 250 shot of nitrous. Obviously when I do, I use C-14 and retard the timing another 10 degrees.

Hey Mike, glad you let me know you are my neighbor. Actually I am probably visiting Surrey later today, be sure to wave! My ride has the typhoon ground effects and is painted that rainbow paint, which changes color as I drive by.

Hey Mike, no, I got it done at Parker's. FV A/B had the same color scheme on an S-10 but they didn't like it, they thought mine had a deeper color, so they repainted it orange.

On another note, did you ever hear of two old farts getting caught street racing a year and a half ago out behind Mission? Well, one of them was me.

The other guy was Russ, also known as White Vette. He gives guys like you and me great deals at Best Buy. Anyways, I had him all the way until my engine starved for gas at about the 1100 foot mark. My nose dipped, he flew by me, then the engine caught again and I lost by 1.5 lengths. I lost several spark plugs tips.

Well, I could handle the losing seeing as he runs 9.37@147mph, but what really got me, was the radar trap with three patrol cars waiting at the end.

4 months without and 576 dollars later, plus the 110 dollar tow and impound fee, it is all good.

ouch. i seen Russ race once or twice in Port Kells and Gloucester i think. from what i remember, he didn't race very often cause there weren't too many people that had a chance to give him a run.
