Starter Problem.. HELP!!! FAST

I bought a jegs 350 crate engine, and ive bought so many started and none of them will meet up with the flywheel there is like a quarter inch differenmce PLEASE HELP!! ASAP... If u know a make and model of a car starter i can get help me please
