Used solids for checking p/v clearance??
If I try to get my hands on a set of used solid lifter to check piston to valve clearance, I figured since you have to check to the outside of the "crown' anyway, there shouldn't be a problem. Is there??"oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

Thanks Pat, I have a set of 882 head, springs that have about 100,00 miles on them, will those work you suppose.??? They should be worn a little. I have 1.6 rollers with a .480 lift CompCams cam to check. The heads are 462's @61cc's. with a .550 lift springs. Will the 882 bind before I can get a good reading??"oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"
