All I can say is use the proper parts and let the horse power numbers fall where they may!!
Like has been said before ,many guys have beaten cars with more"quoted" hp than there engine really had, unless I see dyno numbers its just a guess.
The last 20 to 60 hp is found by tuning on the dyno and rarely just happens from assembled parts, most do not dyno tune the motor leaving the 510 hp at about 450-480 real untuned hp.Tuned meaning set for max hp,not idleing smooth and runs well.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

By spring, I guess. The seats come in later this week, I need to paint and install the grille shell and install the wiring. All the plumbing and running gear is complete. If it was wired, I could start it today, but I don't have a real great need to hear the engine run before the car is pretty much done.

I had a 4-day weekend last week, and have a 5-day weekend this week - and didn't do a dang thing to the car yet. I decided to take the holidays off. It makes me feel like a slacker, though. I'm going to work on the power windows tomorrow, and fix up another Gibbon goat-rope.

The photo shows how it sits today.

    I have a 383 with a 6-71 blower on it.
That sure would look pretty sitting in your car.
Go ahead and get your body work done first and bring it by my shop.
I'll need your car for at least 1 year to test/tune it.
I'll p.m. my adress later to you.
