you could buy a set of dart 49cc heads, I'm not shure of your current compression but 305 heads are 58cc, so the dart 49cc heads would bump your compression ( more power ) and be better flowing ( more power ), there not that expensive ither. you may have to run premium due to higher comp thoYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

Whoever gave you the 441/993 suggestion probably has a set they want to sell. Those are 76cc heads and will put your compression soooo low.I intend to live forever; so far, so good.

The reason for the 441/993 post was the 305 heads are much more prone to cracks than the 441/993 and on a 334 which he talked about building they will work fine with a flat-top piston.

yeah as stated above with the intake port volume.....180's i feel would be the max that the small bore could handle, and thats pushing it....stock 416's are good for the small chamber, but stock they are like 160cc....opening them up and unshrouding the valves as well as installing 1.94's seem to work well, thats what I did. I'm running true flat tops in mine with a .471" lift cam. This seems to work well with my combo, have to be carefull with the cam selection because the small bore can only suck so much into it.old habits die hard
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
