Yup, I've never had a 9 second street car either... But I did have a 12 second Maverick that beat a lot of em!!!!

Denny, yes I can read a mic!!!! Got me a 10X lighted magnifier hanging on a wall bracket above the bench
Nothing wrong with my eyes, the just keep making the numbers and gradients smaller!!!

I had a 13 sec. Ford. Maverick with the Grabber hood.It was a great car the only problem was the rust. You could throw a cat threw the trunk.Originally posted by Dave Severson

It's always been a well kept secret amongst us Might Mav affecianodo's, Erik. Even ran one of my Mavericks on the 1/8 mile with 6.00 gear and a 5 speed!!!! (I was a lot younger and a lot faster then)Originally posted by erik erikson

A good friend of mine had a bright yellow Pinto with a 351 Windsor in it.I am not really sure how fast it was but it really was great fun running away from the new Camaros and Mustangs.Originally posted by Dave Severson

Yup, if I should trip over a Pinto 2 door wagon someday, I sure would like to build just one more skinny block powered Pinto. The wagons are nice cuz you can take the side windows out, replace them with tin. Does a good job of hiding the tubs and roll bar!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

If you really have to have a SBC giant killer than try saving a little more green stuff and then head on over to Jon Barret Hot Rod Engines and get yourself one of these little buggers.

Best 10 grand you can spend. I would rather keep my money cause street racing just ain't my bag anymore.

I don't street race cause I don't drive a honda. Street racing is like kissing your sister, pointless and stupid (gross too), I am in the NPSA (Northwest Pro Street Assn.) in the 12.50 class, well, will start this year. The first race is March25th i think. My friend and I raced before this at the track on fridays during the open test 'n tune and plan on racing there again.

Must be just a phase I'm going through. I'll probably give it up when I'm older. I'm only 55 ya know!!! Heck, I've had my drivers license for 5 years in a row now!!!!Originally posted by erik erikson

When I was about 18 the old man took me to the county morgue. That slowed me down a lot. Then the whole idea about loosing my car bothered me to.Originally posted by Dave Severson
