Eric, I have a problem with this because it is a well know fact that if you port on aftermarket heads without a flow bench, you can hurt flow more than help if you're not careful. I clean up the ports a little bit where the casting flash meets the machine work. I would never recommend someone port heads without experience. Most people want to bolt-on and go, which is the best advice over home porting. Therefore, choosing a head with "out the box" performance to meet your goals is best thing.
