how much nos will a hypertonic piston handle?
We had a set of hypereutectic pistons we tried in a short track motor.The comp. ratio was around 12.5 to 1 on gas.We where turning about 7,500 on the 3rd lap of (hot laps) we he pulled off the track.He sais he lost alot of power.We did a cranking test and noticed two holes where low.We pulled the heads and the tops of two pistons where gone down to the 1st. ring land.This was about 3 years ago.This was the first and last time we tried to run the hypereutectic pistons.
