I don't totally agree with the other two posts that the 377 is a high rpm engine. It can be built that way and performs great in the upper rpm range when built to do so. Really though it's just a big bore 350 and will perform like a 350 in the lower rpm range if cammed to run there.
I do agree that for the street a 400 crank in the 400 block or in a 350 block is better suited due to the increased torque. You would be happier with the increased stroke.
