The problem you are facing is that you have mismatched parts. Your single plane intake and cam choice will want 200cc heads. A single plane intake will be great for upper rpm power but not good for low end grunt. Your best bet may be going with the 292 cam, 200cc heads, X-celerator intake, a good set of headers and bump up to a 3000 or 3500 stall converter. That combination should give you over 400 hp and 400 ft. lbs of torque. You haven't mentioned what kind of car--light or heavy. That will make a big difference. What I mentioned above would work great in a '66 Nova, but not so hot in a heavy car like an Impala.
