    Question Small Block Swap

I'm Swapping my old worn out 283 V-8 for a newer block. I'm going to stick with a small block, My questions are, will the newer engine bolt up to the transmisson and the motor mounts?
My truck is a 58 Chevy Pickup with the truck 4-speed tranny. Thanks.

Your '58 truck has the front mounts, right? Any small-block should have the bolts for them. The bellhousing and flywheel will work, too. Except for the 400, it needs balance weights on the 'wheel. Watch when you put the bolt in the passenger side front mount, if it's too long it will lock the fuel pump pushrod and the pump won't work!
