    Engine Info

I just purchased a project HOT ROD which appears to have a CORVETTE 327 ENGINE in it!!!!! That is what the valve covers say!!!! I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is in fact a 327 and what year it is--and HP if possible. The pad on the front side passenger side of block deck forward of the cyl head end is: F09I7HCH.-----I will need info to get parts when engine need them.

    Thanks

The plugs are a little cold I would try about 2-steps hotter on the plugs. There is'nt any dwell setting.Try around 10 degrees inital timing and go from there.

as far as i can figure its a 1965 327 rated at 275 hp with a 4bbl or a 1969 350 rated at 250hp with a 2bbl and manual trans. to know for sure you need to get the block casting numbers
