You might try a piece of 320 wet/ dry paper soaked in automatic trans fluid, just make sure you wipe it out good after your done . I would also wipe the cylinders down with motor oil before I put it back together. I would not hone it unless I was going to take the motor apart and replace the rings. Carlg
