How are those Merc blocks? Are they pretty thick walled? Talking about blocks, I still have this 250 Chevy block sitting in my garage. I am trying to decide on whether to use it or build a nice 383 or something. Everyone keeps telling me that a 383 would be cheaper because all I have is the block and nothing else. The head is sitting in a friends car and he was supposed to bring it by weeks ago but haven't seen em....
