On small blocks I use the factory exhaust gaskets....I never use header gaskets.... They are junk in my opinion.... I have used copper too.... You can reuse them....

I prefer the factory gasket because of the materials used and they are made to handle imperfections.... they always stay tight ( tighten them cold....they swell with heat)
