Thanks for the reply Streets. My paperwork does not mention the hole dia. I went on to chevys website and the part no. is no longer listed. Chevy has darn good info on their crate motors but alas, mine is now not listed (the newer version has a tad more torque. and is the replacement). I called MSD and they said that they machine the dist to chevy specs... Yeah, thanks.
What do you think about running a bronze dist gear with this motor? I know it has a roller which is probably steel.
BTW - Your replies have been great. This is my first day on the site and the info is terrific. I shoulda been here a long time ago.
I own 2 72 stepsides. One is halfway finished. I'm smothing the whole thing. Marker lights are gone, trim, etc, etc. There's only gonna be a doorhandle on the side. Tank within the framerails, stainless lines, etc, etc. I just picked up a 6 cyl bone stocker to use as my break in pad. Drove down to Ala and drove it back. 99% rust free. As you can see I've been Camaroed and Chevelled to death. Trucks are now my vehicles of choice. I've also sold my last SBC - Now its time for cubes.
Thanks for the insight

time for a new forum to visit. when they sold sr.com it went down hill fast. no more forum just a cheap site selling junkie cars. the canadians killed hr.com. mods are real pricks. as with any site...
Where is everybody?
