Ya don't hafta get a crank, just send it out and get it checked and polished, but ya will hafta get longer rods I can't remember the length but just call Eagle rods in Tennesse and tell em what your doin, if I remember they where 5 to 6 hundred,But ya got no choice other than having custom pistons built, these longer rods will let you use off the shelf 427 pistons.....Mines got TRW's in it if'n I remember right I know they where listed as 12.5 to 1 but with the closed chamber heads it bumped it up quite a bit...For street use and the gas we've got I'd keep it down to 9.5 to 1 and it'll still be a stump puller, Ain't nuthin like a big block cept maybe my buddy's 67 Hemi Satalite
