    New Guy ...have a Few questions

     



    1. is it ok to trim the dip stick tube(Moroso) to get a better fit for my big block pan.#2403. 2.what size is the fitting for an Autometer oil pressure guage,it seems what I got with the guage ( the fittings) do not seem to fit in the hole above the filter. thanks for the help...

    Seems to me, if you cut the tube down, the stick will dip deeper.

    So, make a new mark for full: drill a tiny hole above full mark same distance relative to amount removed.
    .
    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

    Need more info . . . First, what do you mean by "better fit"? Explain, please. 1. I don't know what 2403 refers to. What year is your engine? Would you clarify, please? Is it a stock pan or a deeper pan? 2. Autometer senders are usually 1/8 NPT, and come with a 1/8 to 1/4 NPT adapter. Is the port in the block is too large? If so, go to a hardware store and buy another NPT adapter.
