    402 alternator/powersteering brackets

I purchased water pump p/n: wnd-9242 from summit. my current power steering pump bracket wont mount to water pump without cutting. is there a power steering pump bracket I can purchase that will work with my new water pump? I have a 66 c10 with a BBC 402 6.6L edelbrock intake manifold and carb. I really couldn't tell you the kind of bracket that was originally on the power steering pump, just that the portion of the bracket that "clamps" to the water pump isn't big enough. I essentially cut the bracket to get it to fit but that's only a temp fix. the other issue im having is alternator bracket. I purchased Part numbers: R9318 and R9638 from RPC. The R9318 (upper bracket) seems to fit good but the R9638 (lower bracket) fits on the waterpump fine but when I go to attach the alternator it doesn't line up. Did I purchase the wrong lower bracket or wrong upper bracket? Thank you in advance for your time.

Welcome to CHR Enjoy your stay. I would worry about the belt lining up. Then match the brackets. I'm sure there are some configurations that they won't have an aftermarket bracket for. If you have a welder you should be able to modify what you have. Good Luck

Are you using a short water pump power steering bracket?
What needs cut... The bracket, or the bolt boss on the water pump or the spacer for the steering pump?
Check your measurements then look at Alan Grove Components.
He makes pullies & brackets. May have what you need.
