    on marine engine they were still using the iron low pro with out EGR till mid 90s. on the intake you may see a cast year number on intake runner or by the dist pad . i had many of them iron intakes over the years never looked at them that long .engine could be 72 /73 up till 89 around there was the time GM went to the mark 5 . and you do not have one of them. any time over the life of the engine the intake could of been swaped out. who knows what been done to it looks like it now has a spacer plate on the intake with a square bore holley carb on it . so you have a 454 from 71 to 89 .i can tell by other things to how old it is .pop the valve cover off and get the head casting number if heads were not swaped around this will get you close to what you have but all 454 blocks are all about the same thru the years that i listed. i built many of them and some to 427 with the big damper
