I'm pretty sure that the first EGR valves hit in the 1973 model year for all OEM's. That was the year of the big CAFE (corporate average fuel economy) rule changes, and they threw everything & the kitchen sink at the engines that year, including EGR.

Sounds right. The very first emissions control devices (PCV) were installed on 1967 models
