your not telling me nothing .parts list needs to be longer then that .could that cam make close to 500hp in a 454 that was built right?? yes . but what heads.how much works been done to them . what . intake. what carb. what size headers . was the cam degreed.what was the cc of the head chamber did you checked it?. was the block 0 deck ? if not were is the piston @ TDC . did you check mid lift on push rods . did you check the damper if pointer lines up at TDC . were is base timming . how much curve . sounds like your not happy with this build ?? if it was truly making 500 hp this will impress most guys. some guys get this wrong for the street TQ is king and that you feel. a engine making 500 TQ just off idle many guys would think it.s making 700 hp . part of my job as a engine builder is to find out what someone really needs . then i tell them what is needed to go along with a 500HP or more engine to make it all work right most listen some do not there more to it then 500 hp sitting between the frame rails
