    Be more concerned about electrolysis and corrosion. Aluminum intakes on boats don't fare well, especially in salt water. The aluminum intakes from the boat engine builders are specially lined to keep that from happening, but the ones you buy for a car are not.

    If you are fresh water cooled, or use the boat only in fresh water, it isn't as big of an issue.

    Very good point, it's only in fresh water though. I've been running an aluminum
    intake on my 460 jet since 1977. It has upgraded a bit since the early days though.

    I don't know squat about these dang chevy's is the problem. What ports on which heads for what intake......

    I've been running these engines with the dist in the wrong end...
