I did some calculating
option 1. the 140685 gives me 2.25+6.535+1.395=10.180
option 2. the 139837 gives me 2.25+6.700+1.245=10.195
now the 2nd option only allows .005" to try and clean up the deck surface with, so if the deck surface is a little ugly or pitted (which mine is) I would be SOL.
The 6.535 rod would leave me .020" to clean up and staighten out my deck surface. I think I finally know what I have to do. The first option with a set of dart iron eagles would net me around 12.5:1 compression with those pistons. That oughta fling some mud next summer, should be able to build it for under 5 grand in parts.
