i have built the 454 stock blocks up to 511 .i have at one time had all the iron gm good head casting numbers and used them in builds from 396to 548 . building off the bow tie 9.800 block (or others) to 580 and the 10.200 stock GM tall deck truck block to 526 cid .then going to a bow tie dart or world or donovan way past that up to 632 .moving the deck up to 11.500 and up gets you in to the 730+ CID with a 4.610 bore 5.500 crank . and past that with a 5000 bore spacing block and heads not hard just abit of money
