bbc head gasket ?

I am finishing up my bb build and am not sure which bore size gasket to use,i have a .030 over 454 with a set of merlin oval ports with 2.30 intakes and my block has relief cuts in it for the valve clearance,i want to run a set of procomp mls head gaskets but they only come in a 4.50 bore size,Will these be ok?

it will be ok . i use the FEL pro 1017-1 4.540 bore most of the time that what i use or the 1037 bore4.370 is it a mark 4 block ? mls are ok if your going to spray but have used the 1017 -1 past 14to1 cr you just have to make sure the fire ring is not hanging in the head chamber or the bore .if you want the MLS cometic makes a 4.320

I do plan on spraying up to a 200 shot and yes it is a mk4 ,I liked the procomps price at 50.00 a pair thats why i didn't look at the cometics at almost triple the price.The heads have just been surfaced and look really smooth the block seems to be really flat also.Would you use any sealer on them like copper coat or leave them alone?

we have used the 1017-1 and 1017-2 with a 400hp shot with alum heads . i have not used the procomps .not place to go cheap .i would go with the fel pro if money is the deal some of the procomp stuff is so so .you should run the mls on a dry deck with no sealer but i put some non drying sealer in some spots you may want to open up the deck of the block for water

heres one with the lower row that has holes .you can drill yours for added cooling your deck may only have one or two holes in the lower deck for cooling

the 1017-1 are not MSL and will take a good shot of NO s they are about $40 each the 1071-1 are msl are $85 each and too thick about 053 at 4.380 bore. if your going that way look at 1071 is about 041 thick and bore is 4.380 at $71 eack . i can get cometics at $70 each that would be 4.320 bore at 040 thick or PM me if you want i have a set of 4.530 that are 030 thick that i can sell it a good price $110 with shipping

yep no big deal to me i going to put some bbc gaskets up on e bay myself. i am dealer for most parts .i machine and build alot of BBC from 396 to 632 +
