    in short yes .the thin wall liners like k line are fast but not going to fix missing guid that need the old guid to hold them in .i use a solid guild that will cut out yours to 500 then i put a iron or mag solid bronze guild in when done there is only the new guild. i spot face down the old guids to the spring pocket and use a 500 PC seal or umbrella sounds like he not set up to put solid liners guilds in or he just dont want to work with your old heads.the thin wall like i said are very fast and EZ to sizes were soild bronzes needs reams or hone that takes more time . mang bronze i feel is the best but takes more time then iron or thin walls but is about 75% more money for solid mang bronze guids so you need to find someone that will build your heads with a 500 guid or drive your old ones out and cut your heads for bigger valves if your run out is bad .bbc chevy have been way off center to O.D to I.D on stock guids
