OK, I cant' have it all. Nitrous may be in the future, but I want to make it as fast as I can NA before that, and 9.0 isn't as fast as it can. Actually it ran an 8.8 one time, and the last time to the strip I left the tonneau cover and tail gate on, so it has 8.8 or better in it now. I just want 8.4s for now, cam and carb should do it.
My 99 Vette runs 8.6s, does 170 MPH, and get 28 highway, so why cant' my truck do the same, lol... Truck has way more torque than the Vette and leaves harder, but falls off at the top. Vette turns 84 MPH, while Truck turns 76 MPH, both running same ET and 2.0 60'. I have raced them both a bunch. Truck is too nice and is a real 454 SS, so not looking to make it into a race truck. Just want to beat Vettes, Lightnings and SRT-10s.
