    oil pressure 396 big block

     



    Where is the best place locate the oil pressure line on a early 70's 396 big block. I have tried the lower part of the block near the oil filter and that does not seem to work

    there is two ports the 1/8 npt that is not drilled thru some times. the one over the oil filter is the one you want can be 3/8 or 1/2 npt this one is the one to use

    You have located the right place. But just check your oil pipe. May be some there are blockage in the pipeline.
