Everyone at the track I talk to with solid rollers check/replace them every two years but they are trailered race cars. I had one go after one year and tore up the motor pretty good but I log about 60 highway miles a week to the track and back on top of the racing. Replaced the comp lifters with isky hippo lifters but will check them this week before the season starts. Been told you should run a rev kit if driving on the street... Keeps the roller on the lobe but costs about 40hp I don't have to spare... If you're going max effort 800hp and street driving you should consider it. If only racing... Check lifters every 2 years.

i have run them on the street for many years if you are not at max rpm on the street . but hi rpm is were a roller shines just can be hard on valve springs. i did drive the cars alot at one time to work and the track . every trip was more then 25 miles one way and did drive the car to the track every now and then but more miles on the street were it was short blast and back down to a lower rpm i run a 1.625 spring isky 9685 with very good luck has well as customers that do run them on the street you have to ask your self how much money you want to spend putting new parts in a 800+hp engine every time to drive on the street the clock will be ticking your wearing parts out . if your just banging around on the $$treets with a springs that are more for drag racing and a lifter that can not have a long life span with weak springs you need to look at them and check them if your engine is a big hp engine and hi rpm then you should look at it every now and then to catch parts going bad. i see no need for a rev kit . i never used one on the street . less your going to run a hyd roller cam at hi rpm . low rpm and low oil splash is what kills them.some cams run tight lash for hi rpm i can not see were more lbs with the rev kits going to help much could add to wear..but if your springs lbs drop then the lifters is going to skip or skid the will be trash . lifter s with big pins and hippo helps if your runnning a big cam like past 700 lift things are going to wear out if your runing past this then no matter. comp lifters are not so hot. i do not know if they work things out . i had seen guys have better luck with cheap bulk crane lifters i would never spend the big money for rollers for me i run the cranes pull them out throw them out buy a new set still be head of the game i have used the crowers hippo . but crane pros hippo as well as the isky red zone are very good. i have used the used take out hippo crowers in builds they hold up well. for my big chief engine i have the crower that i will re work for more oiling to the pin .a very good oil can not be over looked your going to want to change it out alot more as well to
