    oil system

Planning some plumbing for the 'maro.... To free up more space for headers I'm going to run a remote oil filter.... Will the dual element filter flow more oil then a single element, and should the lines be -10 or -12????? Be gentle, I'm a Ford guy, you know.....

Fuel system.... Should the lines be -8??? Or maybe a pair of -6's??? Will be a single four bbl, stroker engine, aluminum heads, all the goodies....

    Thanks

I don't know about the oil filter other than you will have more volume.
Your fuel line dia. will also depend on your elc. fuel pump.
I have run the Aeromotive Street/Strip pump that will support up to 750 with very good luck.
I think it is part number 11203.
I think it uses a 10AN line size and a 8 AN return line.

AN 10 for fuel and 8 if going with a return line i use just one oil filter and use AN 10 for the oil lines

You would be better off with 1 filter with a magnet on it then you would 2 filters, and a smaller package to mount.

    My .02 worth.

I was thinking about dual filters just to be able to carry a bit more oil.....room isn't really an issue as soon as I get the oil filter off the bottom of the block where the header tubes are going to have to be!!! The extra filter, oil, and lines adds a bit more cooling area to the system, too......

Pat and Erik---- I was at a pre-season show and shine for drag cars last weekend.... Noticed a number of cars running dual pumps, filters, regulators and -8 supply lines with a -6 return..... I'm sure it's just for the volume, but do you think all that volume would ever be necessary??????

We had the Toyota people talk us into making a fuel rail for their injectors to have a 5/8 inside bore to feed only 6 injectors, and dual fuel pumps. Seems like a lot for feed, but we sell a lot of them.

Dave, Did you ever see how S-10's 4.3 oil cooler works? When they went to 4X4 it blocked the oil filter from air flow, (which is also a cooler) so they took hard rubber hoses up to the core support, then mounted the oil filter on the support, then ran a 3/8 hard line (like fuel line) and ran loop in front of the rad. to cool it more. You may even to make it work with what you have. Just a thought.
