OK. You do need more power and if you know what you have now you can estimate what you need at 5000 rpm. The boat weight does not matter. The only thing that matters is how fast you want to spin the prop and its torque requirement at that speed.

Any other suggestions on what I should do for some more power?

swap out the cam run a hyd roller custom grind on a lsa of 108 or less to make max tq and hp before 5000 .some head work or a set of alum heads edlebrocks is what i used .it would help with weight to.try to get one more point of cr with the cam on a 108 a 4-7 swap cam you may see 5 hp there and use the air gap intake

What kind of gain do you think just the alum. heads would make?

how much was done to them?? the cam is were you will see the most for$$ i think. hard to say about your heads. i really do not think you need HP but QT
