274H is a good cam, I ran that one in one of my 454's.....strong torque, quick to accelerate and it sounds pretty nasty too. Are you talking about the XE cams? (extreme energy)?? If so, they are a little noisy, almost sounds like a solid lifter cam. I thought for awhile that I had a lifter or two going bad, but it was just the normal sound.
