And to think, a couple of people didn't think we had a need for this section!

I can't believe 1954Merc??? No patience at all. Didn't get what he wanted right away so he left. If that's how he runs his business I don't think I'd use him.

Let's not start a hate fest here. Clearly he did not understand how things worked and all he had to do was send me a PM and I would attempt to get it done. Someone else PM'd me with this thread, I got a hold of Brent (not always an easy task as he too has a full time job and a family) who made it happen as we can now see.

1954Merc has logged in since the new forum was opened, so he knows it is now active. His choice whether to now participate as an active member or not.

Let's not turn this thread any further in a negative direction.

Here is wishing all of you a healthy and a happy new year.

Agreed. I, for one, would love to see him back and contributing to this thread. Just because he is using another site to post his how-tos doesn't mean he can't also post the same info here. Many of our members post on several sites at the same time. This is a topic I know little about and would love to learn more, whether from him or any other knowledgeable upholsterer.

I felt the same way as you........his post sounded very ungrateful and demanding. What we have to remember is that we don't pay one red cent for the privilege of being able to use this site. Brent spends his money to maintain it and Bill freely gives an enormous amount of time to moderate it. Lighten up and be grateful for what we have here. I also didn't care for the part about "I shouldn't have to PM the mod he should see this and respond." Bill is NOT your servant, you were the one wanting it, how about getting off of your lazy butt and taking the time to PM him?

    Geeesh!!!

1954 Merc, you were typing at the same time I was, and you were faster!!
Liike Bill said, coming in from other forum experiences it is not obvious how things work and how easily good things can get done here. This came up at one of the busiest times of the year, when everyone has things coming at them from every direction, trying to balance work, family, holiday plans, kids needs and wants, etc, so it understandably took a little longer to come into focus for Bill & Brent. The section is here, and like RestoRod said so well, I am looking forward to peeking behind the veil and learning some of the "tricks of the trade" that make interior work possible. Some of these guys are magicians with material, foam and glue!

1954Merc, I am glad you're here, and that you are willing to share your knowledge. I will be asking you some questions about many parts of the interior work as I get more into my '33. Welcome!!
