    Question T-5 trans info needed

I am planning on installing a 302 and 5 speed in my 65 ford custom 500,I will be using the 65 clutch linkage and bellhousing and I need to know what trans to use. Do the trans have different gear ratios and how can you tell which trans have what ratios,I would like to keep the 3.00 to 1 rear gears so I would like to find a trans with a steeper first gear if possible. This combo is going to be used for gas mileage and I am only going to be using a stock motor,I dont know a thing about 5 speed trans so I need all the info I can get. Jeff

The Mustang 5 spd is a great swap over for the early Fords. I worked on a 65 Mustang that had a Mustang 5 spd and it was a sweet set up.
