Could be some other problem......I've had over 5 cars with trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator........never a problem.........you can also tilt the cooler dwnwards a little bit and air will flow thru and around it to the radiator...if you can take thermal readings at different spots on the radiator.....that might tell you if it is running hotter where the cooler blocks the air flow.?? just a thought
