Yup. that's how the neutral safety switch should be wired. I don't know what your back up light switch looks like, but it would have to have 2 different circuits inside the switch. The neutral switch side would be closed in park and neutral and open in reverse and forward gears. The backup side of the switch should only be closed in reverse and open in all other positions.Originally posted by DHOTROD
HEY THERE PRO DUDE, SO ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I TAKE A WIRE FROM THE IGN/ON SIDE TO THE SAFETY SWITCH AND THEN FROM THE SAFETY SWITCH TO THE STARTER SILINOID. AND ALSO CAN I USE THE BACKUP LIGHT SWITCH. BUY THE WAY IT'S ON A TURBO 400 TRANS IF THAT MAKES ANY DIFFRENCE. THANKS AGAIN......DENNIS
