Thanks guys, I really looked at the ls swap and kept an eye out for wrecked trucks, but in the end decided I'm sticking with a SBC. The ls swap had to many fabrications and extra purchases required - fuel pump, moving fuel tank out of cab, mounting brackets, headers, etc. I'm still checking to see if the nv4500 will fit the SBC. Goal is to get the truck on the road this summer.
