    Absolutely agree with Jerry. Buy a donor truck and use EVERYTHING you can out of it, then sell off the glass, interior, wheels and tires, suspension, brakes, differential, driveshaft and sheetmetal to help recoup the cost of the donor. Try to find one of these trucks that has been hit on both sides and totaled....

    2001–2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500 and 2007 Silverado Classic
    2001–2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500

    They will have the LS motor and the NV4500 transmission. The iron block LQ9 would be a nice find.
    Don't forget to swap in the LS radiator, even if you have to cut the core support out of the LS truck and weld it into your truck. Remember, you'll have to re-position your '67 hood latch onto the LS core support. Either that or use hood pins....
