    i run an AOD behind a semi hot 351W.....4.11's out back.....I LOVE THAT COMBO.....cruse 75 at 2500.....easy mechanical kickdown to about 65 mph......18-20 mpg with 400 horses......i looked at the bauman stuff, looked at the aode, bought an AOD from Hughes with a 2500 stall converter ..... by far the best for smokin the tires and crusin at 70 ...... its perfect confirmation of the old KISS principle

    The guy from Bauman. just called me
    He said the box they sell can tell the speed and RPM's by the output shaft and then you dial in what gears it's running.
    Then you have to buy a throttle positioning sensor, and that will tell the trany everything it needs to know to shift right.

    I've talked with those guys before and they helped me setup my aod. I think the next one will be the aod-E, with the stroked 347!
