After a little thought I remembered an old trick I learned back in machinest training about 40 years ago. I first put a punch mark on the gear then put a rag in the housing to catch chips. I then drilled a hole in it. I then drilled a larger hole through the first one. The gear split (YES)I removed it cleaned up the mess, and heated up the new gear in a can of oil. This is to not have it get bigger in one spot more than the rest. I slid the new gear on and finished putting it together. One more thing off my list. Thanks for the help guys

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
