The dipstick tube goes in the pan on the pan fill and it goes in the case on the case fill.

Why the two styles of fill? Is one a better choice then the other to use if had to?

I think the pan fill might have some heavier internal parts and I found them in trucks and behind 351-Ms and 400s in the mid sized cars.

Ok, yesterday I picked up a 5 bolt bell housing I was told that they changed the bolt pattern on the T10 does anyone know what year this may have been
And is the bolt pattern different on other makes of cars.
